The Sonoma State Men’s Lacrosse is pleased to announce the hiring of Charles “Charlie” Walker as the new offensive assistant.

“We are ecstatic to have Charlie join the staff. He was a tremendous player and has a bright future as a coach. Charlie brings an innovative approach and an infectious passion for the game. We feel like he will have a significant impact on the offensive side of the ball,” says Hewitt.

Walker recently finished a stellar career at Washington College in Maryland as an offensive midfielder for the Shoremen, totaling 52 points across 55 games. A native of Petaluma, California, Walker was the NBL Player of the Year at Petaluma High School in 2015 and earned All NCJLA Honors at the attack position.

Prior to Sonoma State, Walker coached four years with Booth Lacrosse and one year as an offensive assistant to Petaluma High School.

“I’m super excited to join Coach Hewitt and his staff. This is a storied program in a great conference. Can’t wait to compete and work the guys on the team,” says Walker.
