Sonoma Lacrosse Gives Back

by Sonoma State Men's Lacrosse

“At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.” ― Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington could not be any closer to the truth. At the end of the day, it does not matter how many wins or losses you have on your record or the amount of highlight reel clips you have in your possession. The real game of life is if you are willing to help others that you may only meet once or others who you may never meet; and that is exactly what the Sonoma State Men's lacrosse team did.

This past Friday, the team participated in a day of service. The Sonoma State lacrosse team helped refurbish and build gardens at University Elementary that have not been able to be used in the last 10 years.

Because of the team's efforts, the schools kindergartners will once again be able to have a garden of their very own and not have to worry about gophers ruining the fun. For the first time in 10 years, the kids and teachers will be able to enjoy learning and having fun outside the classroom, thanks to the Sonoma State's Men's Lacrosse program.
