Inaugural Colin O'Kane Scholarship Winners Announced

Yesterday we had the privilege of having the O’Kane family come speak with us at practice. The boys got the chance to hear all about Colin, and his love and commitment for life and Sonoma State Lacrosse. In addition, the O’Kane family has donated new EKG equipment to the team, and the first ever Colin O’Kane scholarship. 

This year’s recipients of the Colin O’Kane Scholarship are Casey Hoops and Zach Bonilla. The Colin O’Kane Lacrosse Scholarship (“Fund”) is intended to provide support for Sonoma State University lacrosse team student athletes, who are pursuing an undergraduate degree. Awardees should exhibit an extraordinary work ethic, have a strong interest in the overall community, consistently display exceptional character, and maintain an incoming or cumulative minimum 3.0.

"Sonoma State Lacrosse has been always about family. I was so excited and to see the camaraderie and enthusiasm of all the players. We look forward to support the team throughout the year as much as we can and wish Coach Hewitt and the team the very best in 2021-2022," says the O'Kane family.
